Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving!!
Hello All! I hope you had amazing Holiday's. I spent Thanksgiving in NYC with my Dad and his fiance Ruth. It was a wonderful weekend filled with tourism, good food, and freezing NY weather. Dad hasn't been to NYC since 1979 and Ruth has never been here, so it was fun to show them my city. They flew in on Tuesday and we started our visit with Dessert and Friends at my apartment (I baked a mean apple crisp and a yummy peach crisp). Dad and Ruth were thoroughly indoctrinated into NYU Liberalism (I had to warn my friends that there were Republicans in the room), enjoyed stories of law school, and got to meet many of my friends. The rest of our weekend was fantastic, but very very cold. I swear that Dad & Ruth brought the Cold Weather and took it home (it's 52 degrees right now). We spent Wed & Thur doing a very cold Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus tour, seeing the tourist sights. Thanksgiving night we had dinner with my friend Jenny, fashion designer extraodinaire and fellow Midwesterner. Friday we visited the Museum of National History, then had dinner with Ruth's cousin Rita, and finished our night by attending Movin' Out - a musical based on the tunes of Billy Joel. (Dad loved it!!). It was a great weekend. Now I'm back to the grind....three finals in one week to prepare for, starting on the 12th of December. I will be home in Iowa on the 18th of December and in MN somewhere between the 27th and 29th. I look forward to seeing everyone from home!
Lots of love!!!!
