Happy New Year!!
Hello all! Happy 2006! It was so nice to see many of you over Christmas break. As you can tell from the pictures I had an amazing time. I got to hang out in Iowa with my family and see my old friend Andrea Hickman. I spent a week and a half in Minnesota and saw most of my friends, baby sat for my adorable nephew Caden, had some quality time with my Mom, cooked for my lovely sister and brother in law, hung out with my nieces, and all-in-all had a great time.
I'm back in New York and things are going great. I really like my classes and I'm excited about my professors. I'm taking Constituional Law, Federal Courts, and a Government Civil Litigation Clinic where I intern with the Civil division of the United States Attorney's office. My attorney specializes in Asset Forfeiture (taking possessions of criminals that they purchased with illegal proceeds - i.e. a drug dealers multi-million dollar home). It should be interesting and I'm excited to see how the civil side of Governemnt law works.
Last night my friends and I celebrated being halfway through our law school careers (ALREADY, can you believe it?!?) with a "Hump Day" party. It was great to hang out with my friends, be silly, and relax.
Now, before my brother-in-law Kirk begins to think that all I do in New York is party, I must go study some Constitutional Law. Oooh. And for all you 24 finatics, don't forget that the season premiere is tonight, that is definitely going to be my evening. I'm not even using my new found friend TIVO to record it, tv of this greatness requires live viewing with friends.
Much love!
