Old Friends, Good Times
Happy November, as finals are rapidly approaching I am spending much of my time at my computer attempting to learn Income Tax law. Mostly, I have learned that I will have an accountant do my taxes, and that there are more tax loopholes than there are tax revenues. Just don't ask me which loophole to use, I still haven't figured it out. However, this weekend I was able to take a break and spend some time with my best friend Shana. Her husband is looking at a medical residency program in Long Island, and she came to check out the area. We went to Long Island, explored the neighborhood, and even went to the beach. We then ate a very yummy dinner at a trendy NY restaurant, Blue Ribbon, where all of the NY chefs like to eat when they are done eating. Our dinner crew included Qassi (Shana's husband) and another old, Minnesota friend, Jamie. To the shock, awe, and perhaps disgust of many (I'm sure) we actually had bone marrow as our appetizer. If you do not belive you I will forward you the email addresses of my dining partners and they can testify. My Dad and Ruth get into town on Tuesday for a long Thanksgiving weekend. I'm looking forward to spending some time with them before the final push for finals. Will be home in the Midwest soon and can't wait to see everyone there!
